Closed Campus
Montbello High School will continue to be a closed campus. This means that students must remain on campus during their entire school day. Students who have classes scheduled at colleges or technical schools may leave campus to attend their scheduled classes. All other students remain on campus during the school day, including the lunch period.

Dress Code Policy
The Montbello High School leaders and the Collaborative School Committee have listened to students’ voices regarding a school uniform. Students are no longer restricted to the Montbello Polo and khakis uniform. HOWEVER, an updated dress code policy will be strictly enforced. Please click here to view the policy in full detail.

In order to create an early-college culture at Montbello High School, which will have primarily juniors and seniors for the 2012 – 2013 school year, school leaders and the Collaborative School Committee have decided to follow the Denver Public Schools Board of Education Dress Code Policy (JICA – Student Dress), with very few changes. Shifting to a dress code policy is one of the changes that will support an early-college culture at Montbello High School.

The Denver Public Schools Board of Education, Montbello High School, in conjunction with the Collaborative School Committee, has developed and published the following standards regarding dress and hygiene. The principal and his designees have the final authority to decide what appropriate dress is for students in school or participating in school-related activities.
